Cook Comes Good

28 12 2009

Cooky's back.

Well it seems that my prediction after the last test was off the mark. As I type he is a small matter of 109* and building a rather substantial partnership with our favourite battler Paul Collingwood. It is still possible I suppose that he may end the series averaging 22 but lets hope that this is a turning point for the man with eyebrows.

I haven’t actually been able to see any of this as I am currently on holiday in Sri Lanka and no one seems much interested in the England South Africa series. 80 runs behind with 7 wickets in hand – if we can get to 450-500 that would put us in a very powerful position going into the last 2 days. Echoes of the Ashes in this England renaissance! There is plenty of time to confound all England fans however and collapse to 320 all out. It does seem unlikely however.

Now Alistair, lets go on and make it 200.

Probably jinxed him now.

Damn.
